More than 4000 fans attended soccer game organized by the largest Croatian Charitable Society CRO UNUM with a aim to help the Scciety for disabled persons “Saint Bartolomej” from the city of Knin. Before the game, singer Đani Stipaničev performed the anthem of the CRO UNUM Charitable Society, titled “I love you, Croatia” and composed by Neno Ninčević. The rest of the program saw performances from Mate Bulić and Goran Karan, as well. During the game, Ambassador Paul Vandoren, head of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Croatia received the City of Knin Award by Mayor Josipa Rimac. Among the players who appeared on the field for the CRO UNUM football team were famous Croatian athletes (most of them winners of the 3rd place at the FIFA World Cup, France 1998), actors and celebrities: Davor Šuker, Dario Šimić, Boris Živković, Robert and Niko Kovač, Đani Stipaničev,Goran Karan, Ivica Šurjak, Dragan Primorac and many others. Many celebrities have attended this event including american television journalist and producer Ashley Colburn who won a prestigious Emmy Award for her documentary “Wow Croatia”.
