On December 19, 2011 the University Study Center for Forensic Sciences at the University of Split organized the first Commencement Ceremony for 57 masters degree recipients in forensic sciences in the region. The University of Split, which is located in Split, Croatia, offers a master’s degree in forensic science. On November 4th, 2011, Professor Dragan Primorac gave an invited talk entitled “The impact of molecular genetics on the development of modern medicine”. Lecture was held at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and approximately 200 students and faculties attended this event. Prof. Primorac particularly underlined the importance of Y chromosome analysis in the study of human evolution, migration and history.
